What is included?
Meals, accommodation, seminars, workshops, incorporating outdoor challenges, specialist instruction. Business help & advice about setting up your own company.
*Applicants will undergo a selection process
What? A week-long fun and inspiring residential programme.
Participants explore the concepts of starting new businesses or developing fledgling businesses.
When? Monday 20th – Friday 24th June 2011.
Where? Based in the heart of Kent at PALACE FARM HOSTEL an eco-friendly, Green tourism site.
Who? Student aged 18-25 from Kent who are interested in establishing business roots in Kent.
By developing business skills, knowledge and experience
Develop planning, leadership, management skills and understand a range of other business concepts.

Kent Entrepreneurs Initiative
Your chance to WIN
- a package of business support from the Kent Foundation, and
- professional business advice from a host of Kent based organisations covering everything from finance and legal to marketing and business coaching.
Who can apply?
- Are you 18-30 years old?
- Thinking of starting your own business or have started your own business in the last 12 months?
- If the answer is YES …
How it works
Apply by emailing kfassist03@kent.gov.uk for an application form or downloading an application form at 2application2011 and tell us about your business.
Once accepted for KEI participants attend the:
- Kent Entrepreneurs’ Workshop
February 16th 2011, 12pm-3pm at the Canterbury Innovation Centre.
This workshop for KEI participants provides support and coaching to prepare for the Kent Entrepreneurs’ Initiative. Participants receive presentation skills training, encouragement, and information about the benefits of starting their own business. Lunch and an opportunity to meet business partners and supporters are included.
- Kent Entrepreneurs’ Challenge on March 2nd 2011.
KEI participants will present their business venture or idea before a panel of business partners. There will be an overall winner of KEI however; support and KAYE membership will be awarded to all participants. Dinner and an opportunity to network with business partners and supporters are included.
