Global Student Business Concept Competition 2011

We now have the names of the five member University of Kent 2011 team for the VT Knowledge Global Business Concept Challenge, which takes place in Virginia Tech University in August this year. The team consists of thres bioscience PhD students, William Humphries, Caroline Tolley and Claudia Rathje, who have invented a new diagnostic tool for testing for specific diseases, and they will be joined by Phoebe Maund, studying Conservation and Emma Perot, studying Law.

All 5 will fly out on the 21st August to compete against teams from around the world.

The University of Kent is participating in the Virginia Tech Global Student Business Concept Challenge

All you have to do to participate is enter the University of Kent’s Big Ideas competition as a team, the winning team will automatically have a place in the Global Final competing against 15 elite student teams from around the world. The finals of the competition take place in Blacksburg Virginia, USA between 21st August and 27th August.

Criteria:

  • There is no restriction on the number of teams from individual schools
  • A minimum of two and a maximum of 3 members per team
  • Student travel and accommodation costs will be paid as part of competing in the final
  • Students must be free to travel to the US for the final
  • Students will need to obtain a visa to travel to the US
  • 21st March 2010 – Deadline for competition entries
