Kent 2020 30 spaces on coach for Kent and Christ Church students

A great opportunity for University of Kent and Christ Church students to attend the Kent 2020 Business event held in Detling on Thursday 7th April 2011.

The two University Enterprise offices have organised a coach for 30 students to attend on the day, with collections at each campus at 10.00 and leaving the 2020 show at 4.00pm. We will also be running a network session at the event so you can gain the maximum from your time there. More details about the show on the Kent2020 website

Kick Start 2011 – Applications Now Open

Kick Start - the largest ever seed investment programme supported by university entrepreneurial societies – is back and bigger than ever.

Kick Start is the seed investment programme for entrepreneurs, run by entrepreneurs.

Entrants can earn an investment of up to £30,000 in their business as well as gaining invaluable advice, support and mentoring.

The Kick Start programme is looking for the very best and brightest entrepreneurs.

- Do you have a well thought through idea that you feel passionately about and are ready to throw yourself into?

- Have you developed a product or service that you are ready to launch?

Kent Team in Top Three at Princes Trust Awards

The University of Kent Team for the Princes Trust Million £ Makers, attended the regional finals at the Century Club in Shaftesbury Avenue on the evening of Monday 28th February. The University of Kent were in the top three University teams in the region competing against 17 other Universities. The awards were handed out by the recent Apprentice show participant – Laura Moore.

The team (Dan Medlen, Deep Nagda, James Kent and Robert Finnerty- all first year Accountancy students at Kent Business School) chatted with Laura,  who had briefly studied at the University of Kent. As well as the University awards, there were many corporate teams at the event, and a great night for networking opportunities. 

Over £750,000 has been raised this year from Million £Makers for the Princes Trust.

The University of Kent team were awarded their certificates – and are keen to pull a larger team together to compete next year!
